95 Injured, 50 Dead In Maiduguri Blasts


The Sunday, September 21, 2015, blast in Maiduguri, Borno State claimed at least 50 lives and another 95 persons were severely injured in the explosions which went off in the Ajilari Railway Crossing and Bintu Sugar areas of the state capital.

The explosions which was believed to be the work of Boko Haram suicide bombers, reportedly occurred between 7pm and 8pm.

Army spokesperson, Colonel Sani Usman said that the explosions show Boko Haram’s increasing desperation.

However, Boko Haram officials have not claimed responsibility for the bomb blast the death toll has not been officially confirmed by any of the necessary emergency authorities.
