Nigeria Government has said on Monday, September 28, that the Boko Haram sect are gradually being curtailed as they have put machinery in place to apprehend the culprits.
This was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Aliyu Ismaila while speaking with journalists on the side-lines of the ongoing 70th United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York.
“We are winning the war. We have put machinery in place to meet the presidential deadline handed over to us and we are sure that the nation’s security agencies are up to the task,”
“Nigeria is doing very well and we are very proud that we have a President who is very focused and who world leaders have tremendous confidence in,” Ismaila said
President Muhammadu Buhari will attend the World Leaders Summit on Violent Extremism to which he was specially invited by UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon.
Buhari gave the Nigerian military three months to end the Boko Haram insurgency in the country.
