The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), has commenced investigation on the expenditure of funds for the Centenary City project.
This was made known to news men by the Nigerian Unemployed Youth Vanguard (NUYV), who had written a petition about the project to the EFCC agency.
The NUYV National Coordinator, Comrade Solomon Adodo told news men that The EFCC has just told them, in their response to the petition, that they are investigating the matter, and they will thoroughly look into it, however, that they have gone very far on it.
“They just invited us for more enquiries which will avail them of information backed with documentary evidence to show the fraud embedded in the Centenary City project. They also have their facts; I know they will do their work as an agency. And we believe it will turn out in public interest.”
