A school teacher at Sussex, Wisconsin, USA is charged with sexual assault after reports states that she admitted to having sexual relations with her 16-year-old male student multiple times in her classroom.
April M. Novak, 30, reportedly admitted to the police that she had intercourse and oral sex numerous times in her classroom with the student, stating also that she knew the relationship was wrong but it was mutual and the two had ‘very strong feelings for each other,’ according to the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
They had agreed not to tell anyone about their relationship to avoid bloating the circumstance, but on December 11 another teacher saw Novak and the boy embracing and kissing, inside her classroom and made a report.
Novak was a reading interventionist and literacy coach at Menomonee Falls High School in Menomonee Falls, and had worked for the school since August 2013.

Novak’s husband filed for divorce on Monday, the day before Novak appeared in court on 12 felony counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff,
A parent who’s child is a student of the school, with Novak as the teacher expressed shock; saying that novak is experienced in her teaching skills.
“She was on point. She made sure my daughter was cooperative, she made sure she was doing her work, and very helpful. I can’t believe this is happening.” said Cassie Hintz, whose 16-year-old daughter, Cali, was a student of Novak’s,
‘Once I found out who it was, that’s when I was like ‘oh my God.’ I freaked out,‘ Cassie added.
Cali added that she ‘loved’ Novak as her teacher but was ‘quite shocked’ when she heard about the accusations.
Novak has already resigned. She remains in the Waukesha County Jail on $100,000 bail and is ordered to have no contact with anyone under 16, including her own children. It’s unclear how many children she has.
She reportedly can’t have access to her kids because she threatened to crash her car with them inside, reports Fox 6.
