Emir Of Kano Rebuilt A Destroyed Church To Avoid Religious Questioning And Disrespect

The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has revealed why he rebuilt a church which was destroyed during a religious unrest in the state.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria made this disclosure when he met a delegation of religious leaders at an Inter-Religious and Community Conference in Kano.

Sanusi revealed that he personally rebuilt the church situated in Rogo local government area in Kano, with his personal income after he learnt about the destruction, stressing that he had carried out the ordeal as effort to end religious saga,

“I renovated the said church to help avoid a situation where a Christian believer might feel offended and my religion disrespected,” Sanusi II, said:.
