Governor Seriake Dickson At War With Bayelsans

The Honorable minister of state for Agriculture and rural development in Bayelsa state, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has said that the Governor of Bayelsa state who is currently serving under the peoples democratic party (PDP); Henry Seriake Dickson has waged economic war against his people.

He stated this in an interview at the unveiling of the blue print for change during the Timipre Sylva campaign in Lagos, Lokpobiri said that the economy of the state has collapsed.

“Not even his commissioners can proudly own a miter of land” the minister said

The stated that the only functional fifty bed hospital in the state was constructed at Opolo by the former Governor of the state Timipre sylva, stressing that all the internal road in the state was constructed under Sylva’s regime, to point out a few, the sports accademy in Kolokumo Pokumo at Sabagriya and the Law School in the state.

“Right now there is no employment, their is no food, the people are in abject poverty” Lokpobiri also said

The honorable minister stressed that the Governor has refused to pay pension, attributing that those who have served the state are not productive; therefore, the governor cannot pay pension and is owing over twenty billion Naira in pension.

Lokpobiri further expressed disgust at Governor Seriake when he said that the governor does not carry out the very essence of government, “He doesn’t know the very essence of government, government is to serve the people.” he added
