Kat Graham Raises Her Voice In Support Of Empower54 Families In Nigeria


A cast of “The Vampire Diaries”, an American supernatural drama television series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the popular book series of the same name written by L. J. Smit, has joined the movement for ‘Empower54 families’ initiative in Nigeria.


Hollywood actress, musician and philanthropist, Kat Graham is the new member of Empower54 family and is lending her voice to support the initiative’ “Rise Above Terror” campaign focused on empowering IDP women and children in North East Nigeria.


The Founder/Chairperson of Empower54, Princess Modupe Ozolua, said “Kat Graham’s involvement as a non-Nigerian reinforces the fact that terrorism is a global concern and we have to work together to make the world safe for us and our loved ones.”

The initiative’ Annual African Art Charity Gala will hold in Atlanta on April 30th. The Nigerian painters to participate in this event are: Leonard El-Dragg Okwoju, Damola Adepoju, Bimbo Adenugba, Abdulrazaq Ahmed, Shonibare Olatunbosun,Stanley Anyanwu, and Tega Akpokoma.

Partnering with Empower54’s annual African Charity Gala are: The City of Atlanta, Desmond & Leah Tutu Foundation, Borno State Government (Nigeria), Andrew Young Foundation, Africa Atlanta, Besharat Gallery, Nigeria High Consulate (Atlanta), Body Enhancement Ltd, & Fox5 Tv.
