Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) Honored by the Circle of Diplomats as the father of democracy in Africa.

The former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, yesterday received an award of honor from the Circle of Diplomats as the father of democracy in Africa.

Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was honored to hold a world press conference in Geneva, Switzerland which was held yesterday Wednesday, 27th of January 2016.

The conference is part of activities by the Circle of Diplomats (Circle Diplomatique), Geneva, in honor of Jonathan, which there would also be a dinner on the same day. The conference holds at 3pm local time.

The Executive Director of the Geneva Press Club, Guy Mettan, has said that Goodluck Jonathan will address two very crucial topics in Nigeria and West Africa at the event, stating that the former Nigerian President speech will be based on security and civil peace as well as the improvement of education and health of children.

After Dr Goodluck Delivered His key note speech, there was a dinner hosted by the Circle of Diplomats in honor of the Former President of Nigeria that night at the Intercontinental Hotel, Geneva, Switzerland.

Swiss journalists and United Nations (UN) correspondents were largely present at the event.

Jonathan has in recent times been engaged in peace missions and election monitoring on behalf of United Nations and has also received global awards for a peaceful transition of power after the election in 2015.
