The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affair has said that the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi would be visiting five African countries including Nigeria.
The visit is in response to an extended invitation to the Chinese Mister by the Foreign Affair Ministers of the African Countries.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Yi would be visiting Madagascar, Zambia, Tanzania, Republic of Congo and Nigeria between 7th to 12th January of 2017.
However, the reason for the invitation and the visit was not stated.

At the invitation of Foreign Minister Béatrice Attalah of the Republic of Madagascar, Foreign Minister Harry Kalaba of the Republic of Zambia, Minister Dkt. Augustine Mahiga for Foreign Affairs, East Africa, Regional and International Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, Minister Jean-Claude Gakosso of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Congolese Nationals Abroad of the Republic of Congo, and Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will pay official visits to the aforementioned five countries from January 7 to 12.
